WoW Midnight Mythic+ Rating Guide: Keystone Master, Hero and Myth
How Mythic+ rating works in WoW Midnight Season 2 and what Keystone Conqueror, Master, Hero, Legend and Myth require, from 1500 to 3600 rating.
Mythic+ rating is a score built from your best run in each dungeon of the season. In Midnight Season 2, it decides your Keystone achievements, from Keystone Conqueror at 1500 to Keystone Myth at 3600.
The short version: time a key in all eight Season 2 dungeons, then raise your weakest dungeons first. 2000 rating gives Keystone Master and the Breath of Blight mount. 3000 gives Keystone Legend and the Breath of Ruin mount.
Last checked: November 3, 2026. This guide covers Mythic+ Season 2, which started the week of August 18, 2026. The dungeon list and most achievements come from Blizzard's Season 2 announcement. Blizzard's post does not give the rating for Keystone Hero or Keystone Myth, so those two values come from Warcraft Wiki. Blizzard does not publish the full rating formula.
Season 2 rating goals
| Rating | Achievement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1500 | Midnight Keystone Conqueror: Season 2 | The Venomous title |
| 2000 | Midnight Keystone Master: Season 2 | Breath of Blight mount |
| 2500 | Midnight Keystone Hero: Season 2 | Check the achievement in game |
| 3000 | Midnight Keystone Legend: Season 2 | Breath of Ruin mount |
| 3600 | Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 | The Venomous Contender title |
| Top 1% of your region at season end | Venomous Champion | Feat of Strength |
| Top 0.1% of your region at season end | Venomous Hero | The Venomous Hero title |
The fixed goals stay yours once you reach them. The two ladder goals depend on how other players finish, so their rating moves during the season.
1How your rating adds up
Each Season 2 dungeon has a score from your best run there. Your rating is the sum of those dungeon scores, so all eight dungeons count.
A higher key level gives a higher score, and finishing within the timer counts for much more than finishing late. That is why a timed key usually beats a failed attempt one level higher.
Dividing a goal by eight shows what each dungeon has to average:
| Goal | Rating | Average per dungeon |
|---|---|---|
| Keystone Master | 2000 | 250 |
| Keystone Hero | 2500 | About 313 |
| Keystone Legend | 3000 | 375 |
| Keystone Myth | 3600 | 450 |
You can see your rating and each dungeon's score in the Group Finder, on the Mythic+ Dungeons tab.
2Know the Season 2 dungeon pool
Season 2 uses eight dungeons:
- Altar of Fangs (new in Season 2)
- Murder Row
- Den of Nalorakk
- The Blinding Vale
- Voidscar Arena
- Ruby Life Pools
- Kings' Rest
- Temple of Sethraliss
A dungeon you have not run adds nothing to your rating. One empty dungeon can cost more than raising your best one by a key level.
3Raise your weakest dungeons first
Check the Mythic+ Dungeons tab and sort your dungeons by score. The lowest scores are usually the cheapest rating, because a key you can time easily in that dungeon may still beat your current result.
Use these rules while you push:
- Time the key before you raise it. A run that finishes on time builds rating. A failed run at a higher level often adds little or nothing.
- Balance the pool. When every dungeon is close to the average for your goal, you can pick the next key by whichever group forms first.
- Use the portals. Timing a dungeon at Mythic 10 or higher gives you a teleport to it, which saves travel on later runs.
- Mind your keystone. According to Warcraft Wiki, timing every dungeon at Mythic 12 makes your keystone resilient, so it no longer drops below that level.
"Keystone Hero" means two things
The name is used for two different achievements in Season 2:
- Midnight Keystone Hero: Season 2 is the rating goal at 2500.
- Keystone Hero: dungeon name is a separate achievement for timing one dungeon at Mythic 10 or higher. It gives the teleport to that dungeon.
When a guide or a group listing says "Keystone Hero", check which one it means.
A weekly routine
- Open the Mythic+ Dungeons tab and note your three lowest dungeon scores.
- Run keys in those dungeons at a level your group can time.
- Raise a dungeon by one level only after you time it.
- Check your rating against the next goal in the table above.
- Keep your Great Vault in mind: your best weekly runs also count toward its rewards.
