WoW Midnight Delves Guide: Tiers, Rewards, Nemesis and Labyrinth
Choose the right WoW Midnight Delve tier, check how Bountiful and Great Vault rewards work, and see how regular runs, Nemesis and the Labyrinth differ.
Delves are instanced PvE runs that you take on with an NPC companion. In Midnight, that companion is Valeera Sanguinar, who can fill all three support roles.
For a weekly routine, pick the highest tier you can finish with lives to spare and use a Restored Coffer Key on a Bountiful Delve when you want gear from the end chest. Aim for Tier 8 if you want the top Delve reward from the Great Vault. Venomfall Deeps and the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan are separate goals with their own requirements.
Last checked: November 2, 2026. This guide covers Midnight Season 2 after the 12.1.5 update. Blizzard's posts confirm the schedule, activities and several rewards, but they do not include one complete Delve reward table. The item levels below come from Method's Season 2 guides, so check the tooltip in your game before planning around a number.
Regular Delves, Nemesis and the Labyrinth

Getting started
Head to Silvermoon City to meet Valeera. Blizzard's Midnight Delves overview points you to two useful tools there: the Delver's Guide shows which Delves are Bountiful that day, and the map shows each Delve's Story Variant when you mouse over it. Naleidea Rivergleam sells Delve treasures for Undercoins.
Midnight launched with these regular Delves:
- Silvermoon City: Collegiate Calamity, The Darkway
- Eversong Woods: The Shadow Enclave
- Harandar: The Grudge Pit, The Gulf of Memory
- Isle of Quel'Danas: Parhelion Plaza
- Zul'Aman: Twilight Crypts, Atal'Aman
- Voidstorm: Shadowguard Point, Sunkiller Sanctum
Season 2 added The Ring of Glory, Gnarldor Isle and the Venomfall Deeps Nemesis Delve. Blizzard's Curse of Ula'tek notes also mention new snake and venom variants in existing Delves, so an older walkthrough may not match what you find.
According to Warcraft Wiki's achievement list, clearing Tier 1 unlocks Tier 2 and clearing Tier 2 unlocks Tier 3. Reaching level 90 and finishing the Midnight main campaign on your Warband opens Tier 4.
How to choose a Delve tier
Choose by goal instead of always pushing for the highest number. These are the rewards Method lists for the end chest with a key and for the Great Vault:
| Delve tier | Bountiful end chest | Great Vault |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Adventurer 1/6, item level 266 | Veteran 1/6, item level 279 |
| 2 | Adventurer 2/6, 269 | Veteran 2/6, 282 |
| 3 | Adventurer 3/6, 272 | Veteran 3/6, 285 |
| 4 | Adventurer 4/6, 276 | Veteran 4/6, 289 |
| 5 | Veteran 1/6, 279 | Champion 1/6, 292 |
| 6 | Veteran 2/6, 282 | Champion 3/6, 298 |
| 7 | Champion 1/6, 292 | Champion 4/6, 302 |
| 8 and above | Champion 2/6, 295 | Hero 1/6, 305 |
A few rules follow from that table:
- Moving up from a low tier: Raise the tier one step at a time while you keep finishing with lives left. A clean run at a lower tier is more useful than a run you cannot finish.
- Filling the Great Vault: Tier 8 is the target if you can complete it comfortably. Method's table stops there, and Blizzard caps the World row at Hero 1/6 after the first Season 2 vault, so Tiers 9 to 11 are not needed for that vault item.
- Opening Bountiful coffers: Spend your keys at the highest tier you can finish, because the key is wasted if the run falls apart.
- Pushing Tier 11: Do this for a specific reason. Blizzard lists Ascendant Venomstones among the drops from Tier 11 Bountiful Delves, once you have completed Orin Straylight's quest chain. Warcraft Wiki also lists a Season 2 feat for each tier from 4 to 11, cleared with at least one life left, ending with the High Explorer title.
We could not find a recommended item level for each regular tier in Blizzard's posts. Method lists Blizzard's recommendations for the Labyrinth as 259 for Tier 4, 290 for Tier 8 and 309 for Tier 11. These figures only offer a rough sense of the climb, and your class and comfort matter too.
Prepare your character
- Set up Valeera for your weak spot. She can take any of the three support roles, so choose the one your character lacks.
- Check her curios. Warcraft Wiki's Season 2 page says 12.1.5 added two curios and a fifth rank for all of them, so an older setup may need another look.
- Sort out the basics. Repair, clear bag space and bring the consumables you actually use before an upper-tier run.
- Read the achievement text before you invite anyone. Some Nemesis and Labyrinth achievements only count on a solo kill.
How rewards work
Bountiful Delves and keys
Regular end chests stay on the low Adventurer track. Better gear from the end chest comes from using a Restored Coffer Key on the coffer in a Bountiful Delve.
Method's gear guide lists four active Bountiful Delves per day and a limit of six Restored Coffer Keys a week. Blizzard adjusted Coffer Key Shard income in the Curse of Ula'tek update and called the tuning a work in progress, so check your current count in-game. Warcraft Wiki also lists a weekly purchase of two keys from Naleidea Rivergleam at rank 6 of the Delver's Journey.
The Great Vault
Delves count toward the World row. Blizzard says Voidcore bonus rolls can be chosen from your vault once you have unlocked at least three panes. You may want to compare that option with the items on offer each week.
Extra rewards with conditions
- Bounty maps: Method says a bounty used in Tier 8 or higher, before the final boss, adds a chest with a random Hero 1/6 Delve item. Warcraft Wiki calls this map the Trovehunter's Bounty and lists Azta'rec's Delve invasions, Bountiful chests and a weekly quest among its sources.
- Prey souls: Blizzard says Afflicted and later Tormented Souls can drop from Heavy Trunks in Tier 6+ Bountiful Delves once you reach the matching Prey rewards. Use them between hunts, as the 12.1.5 notes no longer allow them during one.
- Crests: Blizzard said it would lift the crest cap in the week of October 20, so older advice about crest limits may be out of date.
- Delver's Journey: This seasonal track unlocks extra perks as it ranks up. Warcraft Wiki lists the Corroded Soul Crusher mount at rank 5 and the Snake Eater title at rank 10.
Venomfall Deeps: the Season 2 Nemesis
Blizzard labels the Nemesis difficulties "?" and "??" instead of giving them normal tier numbers. The higher difficulty became available when Season 2 started in the week of August 18. The Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Azta'rec achievement required a kill in that first week, so that window has closed.
Check the unlock in-game before you plan a session. Icy Veins' Azta'rec guide ties the higher difficulty to a Tier 10 clear with at least one life left, while other community pages describe the difficulty levels differently.
Warcraft Wiki lists these rewards:
| Achievement | Reward |
|---|---|
| My Venomous Nemesis | Apophic Patagia |
| Purging the Poison | "The Poisonous" title |
| Let Me Solo Him: Azta'rec (solo) | Apophic Soul Crusher mount |
Treat this as an achievement goal rather than part of your weekly gear routine.
The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan
Blizzard describes the Labyrinth as a large Delve-like run with nine chambers. Valeera comes with you, and you can clear it in one session or take it a wing at a time, earning rewards even from a partial run.
To unlock it, follow Blizzard's route:
- Accept "The Long Way Around" through the campaign, or go to Tokka's Landing on the Coiled Isle and take "The Labyrinth" from Kul'amara the Fierce.
- Follow the questline to Valeera at the entrance, north of Amani Pass in Eversong Woods, and accept "Dangers Untold and Hardships Unnumbered."
- Complete the Chamber of Rites, then speak with Kinduru to open the remaining chambers for you and your Warband.
Method's Labyrinth guide gives these chest counts for a run:
| Rooms cleared | Heavy Trunks | Bountiful Coffers |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 2 | 1 |
| 6 | 4 | 2 |
| 9 | 6 | 3 |
The Bountiful Coffers still need keys. Method also says every three rooms count as one Delve toward your Great Vault at the tier you chose, and that you must clear the other rooms before you can reach Kindo'jan. Its route to Mythic gear runs through Mythical Soul Fragments from Labyrinth quests. Check your quest log and vault tooltip, because community sources do not fully agree on the Labyrinth's reward details.
A simple weekly routine
- Check the Delver's Guide for today's Bountiful Delves.
- Count your Restored Coffer Keys and look at your Great Vault progress.
- Pick the highest tier you can finish. Use Tier 8 if your goal is the Hero vault option and the run feels safe.
- Spend your keys on those runs and note which Delves went well.
- Save Nemesis attempts and long Labyrinth runs for a session when you have time to try again.
Frequently asked questions
How many tiers do Midnight Delves have?
Blizzard lists difficulties 1 to 11 for Season 2, plus the separate "?" and "??" Nemesis difficulties.
Which tier gives the best Great Vault reward?
Method lists Tier 8 for Hero 1/6, and Blizzard caps the World row at Hero 1/6 after the first Season 2 vault.
Do I need a key for every Delve?
No. You can run a Delve without one, but the Bountiful coffer needs a Restored Coffer Key.
Is the Labyrinth a regular Delve?
No. It has its own nine-chamber structure, questline and progression, even though it uses Valeera and a tier-based challenge. Blizzard calls it Delve-like.
Can I still earn the Fabled Azta'rec title?
No. That achievement was tied to the first week of Season 2.
When you would rather skip the runs
If Delves fit your schedule, the routine above is all you need. If you have less time, you can browse HideBoost's Delves services, including custom Delve runs, Venomfall Deeps and the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan. Specific item drops are not guaranteed, so review each service's requirements before ordering.
Blizzard prohibits buying or selling in-game services for real money, and involved accounts may be penalized. Account sharing also violates Blizzard's rules. Consider those risks and review Blizzard's policy information before purchasing a third-party service.
